It is estimated that 1 in every 500 people in the UK live with a stoma. Many may not be aware of the valuable support and advice provided by the Colostomy Association.

This national charity has an excellent website full of useful advice for anyone who has had or is about to have a stoma.

The Association offers a wide range of informative booklets, a quarterly magazine “Tidings”, an e-newsletter, and a Facebook support group to provide information, advice and guidance to anyone affected by stoma surgery, including family and friends. They also provide information about local events and open days where you can go to find out about new products. The website also contains lists of organisations, support groups, products and services.
